December 31st 2005 was the last night for the popular and fun Pelican Club in Cape May. It was our landlord's decision to turn that space into condominium units (a trend that is all too familiar on the east coast shore towns, but that is a whole different story), so we (the Pelican Club Family) had to move on. Opportunity arose and we were able to secure a lease at the site of the former Anchorage Inn (and one season as Restaurant 1919). We knew right away of the concept we wanted to do; a casual restaurant where the food was made from scratch, the drinks made well, and the service and atmosphere warm and fun. This is Lucky Bones Backwater Grille.
Not only are the burgers delicious, but the coal oven pizza is a must have & the staff is great, as well!
